Architectural Projects

At CHC, we annually make over 20,000 historic architectural evaluations of potential National Register properties. These evaluations range from simple Phase I surveys and viewshed assessments to large-scale mitigation projects and HABS/HAER documentation.

In addition to recording properties for site-specific projects, our staff regularly completes individual and multiple National Register nominations for both government agencies and the general public. Further, as most states and federal agencies have varied reporting requirements, our reference library includes an array of architectural inventory forms and data entry material to satisfy the needs of the various agencies. From field survey to research to completed projects, architectural surveys represent an important element to our consulting service.
